전체정보

MAIN INGREDIENT

Per 1mL
Iohexol (USP) . . . . . . . . . . . .755mg
(as Iodine 350mg)

APPEARANCE

Colorless-to-lemon yellow clear injection in a colorless vial

EFFICACY

- Angiography
- IVP
- Contrast enhancement
- Body cavities: arthrography, gastrointestinal studies

The dosage varies depending on the type of examination, age, weight, cardiac output and general condition of the patient and the technique used. Usually the same iodine concentration and volume is used as with other iodinated X-ray contrast media in current use. Adequate hydration should be assured before and after administration.

STRONG POINT

Iodine is a positive contrast medium that exerts by high absorption of radiation.
When Iodine is injected into the vessel, it is absorbed in all tissues, blood cells and extracellular spaces thereby enhance the delineation of blood vessel, organa parenchymatosa and other solid tissues.
Advantages of IOBRIX INJ 350, a non-ionic, water-soluble contrast media, are as follows:
1) This non-ionic contrast media contains 6 hydroxyl(-OH) groups which give the product their high degree of hydrophilicity. Chemotoxicity and neurotoxicity of IOBRIX INJ 350 is lower than other non-ionic contrast media.
2) Iohexol injection is a world-leading contrast agent and regarded as the “Gold Standard of contrast media.
3) Iohexol has a broad spectrum of indications. (Since iopromide is more neurotoxic than all other contrast media, it is not indicated for intrathecal use. Ioversol is not indicated for body cavities and intrathecal use.)
4) Iohexol has a very low protein binding rate. It has been proven safe and efficient in long-experienced clinical data.
