At the 70th KCR symposium (Juhyeong Oh, chairman of the organizing committee) held at Coex, Seoul from 9th to 11th, the Korean Society of Radiology (president Taehwan Lim) and Taejoon Pharm. (president Taeyoung Lee) selected Prof. Sehyeong Kim at Seoul National University College of Medicine and Prof. Yeongseon Kim at Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine to be given “the 13th KSR-Taejoon Radiological Award” and “the 5th KSR-Accuzen Promising Young Doctor Award” with prize money 20 million won and 5 million won for each.

First created back in 2002 to contribute to the development of radiology by presenting academic visions and increasing research competitiveness in the field of radiology, KSR-Taejoon Radiological Award has been annually given to the contributor who has made the greatest international academic achievement of the year in the field of radiology. First created in 2010 for the purpose of supporting research conducted by young radiologists, this year marks the 5th KSR-Accuzen Promising Young Doctor Award. These two awards are becoming by far the most highly regarded awards in the field of radiology in Korea.
